The ‘EuroMED Cooperation. Inland and Marine Water Challenges’ Conference is one of the Italian Presidency events, organized by CNR with the support of the European Commission. Held in Naples at the Stazione Marittima on 3 and 4 November 2014, the Conference addressed the sustainable management of inland and marine water resources with the aim of enhancing the international cooperation with non-EU Med countries on research and innovation. A challenging issue that impacts relevant economic activities for the Med Area like fishery, aquaculture, and tourism. The works have been opened by Stefania Giannini, the Italian Minister of University, Education, and Research together with Cristina Russo, Director of International Cooperation of European Commission DG Research and Innovation, and Enrico Brugnoli, Director of CNR Department of Earth System Science and Environmental Technologies
