The Italian National Conference of the FP7 European project REsearch into POlicy to enhance Physical Activity

The project REsearch into POlicy to enhance Physical Activity (REPOPA) started five years ago with the aim of promoting policies built on scientific evidence in the field of Physical Activity. The video shows a crucial moment of the project, precisely February 5 2016, when researchers and decision makers with many different competences from all over Italy arrived in Rome, at the National Research Council (CNR), to gather around working tables and concretely confront each other on how fostering the use of evidence in policy. The results will be recommendations for policy makers.

The video lets us listen to the voices of Adriana Valente, CNR coordinator of the work package of the project that includes this meeting as research activity, Pietro Comba, director of the Department of Environmental Epidemiology of the Italian National Institute of Health, and Teresa Petrangolini, regional councillor of Regione Lazio. This meeting was one of the six national conferences organized with the same aim at the beginning of 2016 in the European countries involved in the project: besides Italy, Denmark (REPOPA coordinator), Finland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and Romania. REPOPA is funded by the European Union Seventh Framework Programme.
